Feminer Connect x IMC Trading: ‘Trader for a Day’

Are you a young woman finishing up her quantitative Bachelor or Master degree and would you like to learn more about the world of high frequency trading? Then make sure to join us on wednesday the 27th of september at the Amsterdam office of IMC Trading, for an exclusive edition of Feminer Connect: ‘Trader for a Day’. This night will be all about Women in Trading.

Alongside 25 other ambitious women, you will get the opportunity to put yourself in the shoes of a trader, and get acquainted with one of the largest trading firms in the Netherlands. During this night, you will get the chance to meet a female trader and ask her everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the job. On top of that, we will provide you with an accessible introduction to the trading floor, by means of a ‘Market Making Game’. Naturally, drinks and snacks will be provided as well.

Who’s eligible to apply?

We invite all female students who have a strong quantitative background to apply. Specifically, this refers to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), Econometrics, Finance & Investments or (Quantitative) Economics degrees. The event will be in English, so some basic knowledge of the language is recommended.

How does registration work?

By buying the free ticket, you register your interest to participate in the event. We will make a selection based on CV and academic background. Only after you’ve been selected, we will ask you to pay €7,50.

NB: Only a limited number of spots are available; selection will take place on a first come, first served basis, so make sure to register on time!
